I'm new to caring for an Axolotl any help for a 15yr old?

Don't get me wrong, I know quite a bit about the Axolotl, but I would like some help from real owners, and your opinions on maily your recomendations or; food, types of decoration, subtrate, and water level. Also, can they live alone? And how long can one live alone for? Or are they just fine alone?

You will find the answers to all of your questions discussed in great detail by owners in the various sections of the axolotl fora (http://www.caudata.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=48 which you have obviously already found). It's best just to read through the various threads there.
