Hello, Im from the U.S, and live in Kentucky. I keep a pair of chinese firebelly newts,which some of their eggs hatched and a fire bellied toad. I cant wait to learn more.

Had to split my chinese fire bellies .The male had a thing for ripping off the limps off my female,they grew back fine though.

That's not typical fire-bellied newt behaviour. It sounds more like you have warty newts (Paramesotriton) - check out this article:

sorry my newts are japanese fire bellies not chinese or wartys. my mistake however my male was very aggressive with her.I used fish fin repair (tea tree oil) this helped with rapid regrowth of limbs.

Are you sure about that? It sounds very odd to me.
