I'm torn: breeding please help

Alright I should start with the story that led to my conundrum. I found 3 long toed salamanders and 3 northern red legged frogs in my window well a couple years ago. They are doing rather well and I want to give them a chance to breed. What I was thinking of doing is taking them in temporarily to see if they would breed and lay some eggs. Suggestions please I am torn.

The main question is whether or not you should take on the responsibility of breeding. When they produce eggs, you are responsible for those eggs and their success. It takes a great deal of effort and nutrition for the animals to breed, and puts strain on their health. You not only should consider the health of the eggs and larva, but the adults as well. You have to ensure the success of the eggs growing up, as well as placing them in homes. It is not advisable to release captive-bred animals (even from wild stock), because anything the animals pick up while in your care can be transmitted into the environment.

So I have dealed with hatching eggs before, but the breeding process I am new to. I have only used weeds from my garden, sand that has been washed considerably well, and I have a tank of 1/4 pond water 3/4 neutralized tap water with a type of aquatic liverwort maybe? Anyway now I am concerned, what type of illnesses/diseases/parasites can they pick up in my care? I understand that mating causes considerable stress on the animals. What if I put a container out to fill with rainwater for them to breed in? It would just be cool to see if these caudates will breed. Anyway I live in Washington so rain is not a problem.
