So my axolotl had something weird going on with his mouth and it looked like an injury and while tryna get him out of the tank my other axdlotl hurt themselves freaking out and swimming crazy. So I quartined both of them in large tubs, each with an airstone. There is a lot of information on the internet and it was really hard to know what to do because there was different information all over.
aquaman is my black axolotl,
He started off with an in just that looked kinda infected so someone told me to fridge him so I did for the night making sure my fridge was the right temperature and stuff.
Then I gave him a salt bath and slowly moved him to a quarantine tub the next day with 100% new, treated water.
he seemed fine but this morning I woke up and now his slime coat is all messed up and he’s swimming weird (like spinning) and I’m freaking out. I don’t know what to do! All the information on the internet is so vague, PLEASE HELP. (Attaches are pictures taken at different times, chronological order )

Fridging is quite stressful (but does activate their magical healing powers), so you need to do it for much more than a day. Like a week or two, changing the water every single day (don't miss any days) with clean REFRIGERATED and dechlorinated water. We typically put our axolotl in a tupperware with water on top of another 2.5gal tupperware filled with water for the next few days. They will not eat while fridged, so keep that in mind before you start fridging (i.e. try to feed them before they go in).

Un-fridging every day is going to be very stressful, so you want to take the temperature down once, leave it for several days until they're better, then bring back up to tank temperature.

Also, our axolotl tends to "spin" when the water is bad (i.e. too much ammonia, too many nitrates, etc). What dechlorinator do you use? API Stress Coat actually dissolves the chlorine into ammonia for a few days, so that's something to be aware of. We use Seachem Prime which operates a different way chemically.

Another note, your axolotl is awfully skinny. How often does he eat?
