Interesting wild-type coloration

Very cool will you be considering breeding with Golden or Lucy ? Not sure which would give you the non-albino golden , cause that would be absolutely awesome.

Oh she is gorgeous!

A non-albino golden would be simply stunning....

Oh wow that's nice! Did you breed yours or did you buy them? I hope I can get a big tank like that. I want to separate my male and females into two tanks. That way I wont have them breeding since I don't have the money or time maybe later on I will. I did see that they had a 40 gallon breeding tank on sale at petsmart for $40 but they were already sold out. I'm hoping that they get some more in.

I bought all of mine and I'm thinking about breeding them in a year or two. Either way I'm just happy with my babies  I wake up every morning to a room full of fish tanks and happy little faces waiting for food haha

Lol yes! Every time I walk into my room they swim to the edge of the tank and stare at me. They are always so hungry! When do they go from eating every day to every two days?

Thanks to those who complimented my axie Nina ? I couldn't believe it when I found her!
But yeah our copper is an odd colour like the OP's axie too.. I've just noticed, like light armpits (whatever the axie equivalent is) and so forth? ?

I switched mine to every other day once they were about 4.5 to 5 inches in length.
Really? I still feed mine every day. They're 8", 9", and 10". I thought I was supposed to keep feeding them everyday until they were adults (about 1 year)? They're only 6.5 months right now.
I read that they'll stop eating when full, which they do, they'll back away from offered food if they don't want it. There's just so much info out there, and the info doesn't always agree. Maybe I'll switch to every other day, it sounds easier for me that's for sure.

I've been following the general rule of their bodies being as thick as their heads so I just feed them until they are nice and plump. I don't see a problem with feeding them every day or every other day as long as they are healthy and happy ;)

Thought I would give everyone an update on my wild types, their colors are just stunning and I still haven't seen other axolotls with this color pattern.

My largest wild type is around 8 inches long, and still not quite a year old. I am not certain of the gender yet, but here is a photo of Charles. :D

It would be a miracle if my leucistic becomes a copper one day. But that will never happen...

This is funny, because another member just made a post about their wild that went completely leucistic!!

They don't ever go leucistic to wild do they?
