I was just wondering, as I am not very good with gallons, if a 60L tank is okay for 1 axolotl?

60 liters is just about 15 US gallons. IMO this is just fine for 1 axolotl. Can you post your dimensions?

it's more about length then anything with Axolotl I think the usual minimum tank length given is about 2ft and then a 1ft per an Axolotl thereafter

In AUS the standard 2ft tanks are 50Litres but I also have a 70Litre that has extra width and height. I'd say you'd be fine :)

Haha totally forgot about the dimensions, thanks for replying

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
