Hi! I have an old biorb that a friend gave me and I was interested in getting an axolotl. I've read that they don't like moving water and the biorb has a bubble tube going through the middle which will move the water constantly.

So...should I give up on the idea of getting an axolotl for my tank? Thank you in advance! ;)

I would have to be 10 gallons or more. Axies can get 12 inches long and do not like strong light. You would need to be able to put a flower pot or other cave like structure for them.

Biorbs are barely suitable for fish. So a definate no for an axolotl due to the size and shape. You'll need at least a 2 foot tank for one axolotl. Mel
