Is it normal for an axolotl to float?

I was just wanted to know if it is natural for an axolotl to float? the people at the pet shop said it is natural because they said there axolotls float sometimes.

yes they do float sometimes, two of ours float under the floating plants. But you just have to be careful in case it's anything to do with your water temperature or water parameters - ammonia/nitrite, or need a poo (usually the bum/tail floats up and axie tries to straighten its body/pull it down).

Feels like a lifetime, just over 18months.

One of mine tends to float if I leave the filter off for more than a day or two and he gets a bit low on oxygen.
