Hello everyone! I have a lucy and an albino axolotl and I was wondering if its ok to feed krill to them? I was reading online that shrimp was ok and our local pet store sells krill cubes and shrimp cubes? Thanks for looking!
unless very very young juveniles, they would need more nutrition than what shrimp or krill can offer. Earthworms or good quality newt or axolotl pellets are far more nutritious options for a staple diet.
Ok ive been feeding them krill about once a week and bloodworms four times a week and worms twice a week. They use to eat the krill really good but now they dont seem to want it.
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
