Is Java Moss Potentially Dangerous

Is Java Moss safe? I've read mixed reviews. I've read that Axolotls can digest it when eating food and that it could eventually compact them (like gravel). I've read some that feel they do not eat it and others that have said it will pass through them. I have some attached to a stone and I was wondering if I should take it out.

I'm probably being overly cautious but I would rather be safe than sorry. Does anyone with Axolotl+Java Moss experience have any ideas or advice?

I doubt it's dangerous to them... when I got my first two axolotls, as they grew over the next few months, I found a piece of purple gravel in each of their feces a few times. I've never used gravel in their tanks, so all I can guess is that the person I bought them from did, and as they got bigger, their intestines became large enough to pass the gravel.

Fecal analysis of my axolotls tell me that they're always eating plants (leaves/roots/stems), tiny snails (shells), and shrimp (carapaces), in addition to the worms I feed them.

A study of wild axolotls found their stomach contents were 20% plant matter, so a little bit of moss shouldn't do them any harm.

Thank you so much!!! That makes me feel so much better! What snails do your axolotls eat? I have a few different types but I have been nervous to put them in his tank.
