I have 5, 6 week old axi's and one of them I'm afraid may have a blockage. I Have a sand tank but this ones belly is much bigger than the rest though she eats great my concern though is I noticed her belly was very full yesterday but I noticed what looks like a white section in her belly where she should deficate and I can see that process happening in the rest but not this one and tonight when I fed her, her belly is still really full. She is eating great still but her belly is so big it looks like she's going to burst. These are my first axi's help what should I do?

It isn't recommended to keep axies that small on sand. They're so small that if they swallow the sand it could be fatal. Bare bottom works best for them and then upgrade to sand once they're around 5 inches.

I'm moving them into a 55 gallon and I will leave it bare floor! The good news is she seems much better today her belly was less full and there seems to be some movement and I got to hand feed her today!!! It was very exciting 2 actually ate from my hand but she really hung around (I've been using a turkey baster to feed as its a 29gallon tank) and I can finally see the back leg nubs starting to grow! So glad she seems to be ok ?
