Is my axolotl ok

Hi recently got my first axolotl I have read so much about them but I am concerned there is something wrong with my little guy. He spends the whole day floating up against the filter pressed up against the glass is thought he was dead as I tried to get him to move but he wouldn't so I went to pick him up and he Darted to the bottom of the tank where he stayed swimming around for a bit but has since gone back to the filter is there anything wrong or is that just where he feels comfortable. IME, that is not the behavior of a healthy axolotl. She looks a bit thin, how long have you had her? What are you feeding?

What are your water parameter readings, PH/ammonia/nitrites/nitrates? Is there a cave in your tank for your axolotl to hang out in?

He has a cave and we got him on Saturday. We have been feeding him pellets but feed him a worm today. He has now come down and been staying at the bottom of the tank and every now and then decides he wants to float. He has been very active science eating the worm and seems a lot happier

I think that he just likes the way the filter feels, my axolotl does that too. I don't think that you'd have any reason to worry
