Illness/Sickness: Is my little guy sick?

I have two axies for a month. Higari is the one that I am worry about. Higari always have its head or body (just a little bit) touching the water service. Because I work 6 days a week so I am not sure is Higari having a problem to go down to the bottom.

I also notice Higari tip to either the left or right side sometimes when it was relax, not sure is that a problem.

I didn't see any problem with its skin or any other things that seems not normal. But again, I am worry=[ I am not sure what should I do...

I do 100% water change once in two days, both Higari and its sister/brother Yami. The reason I did that is because the seller told me she was doing 100% water change since they hatched. So I believe Higari and Yami is used to do 100% water change.

They eat frozen red worms due to Yami is a very picky axie. But Yami always stay on the bottom of the tank. (they are not in the same tank because Higari is bigger and I worry that it will pick on Yami.)

If you have them in a tank running a filter you need to cycle the tank. Doing about 20% water changea eveey other day. Also testing the water frequent is important bcauSe doing the cyclinf process ammonia will soike, then lower until nitrite spikes. Then you will start getting nitrafe levels, once that happens you are almos cycled and you wl see the other levels drop to 0. Once ammonia and nitrite are 0 you have a cycled tank an should be able to do once. Week 20% waterchanges in order to keep the nitrate down under 40ppm

If they are in tubs then yes 100% water changes daily since you cant cycle the water.

Are you dechlorinating your water?
Are you aging it?
How old are they? Do they have back legs yet?

Please answer these for us it will help is help you.

If they are still young axolotls i found this happened to at leaSt one of my thirty
Babies a day where they would swallow air.
Plus their lungs develop at the same times as their rear legs, so sometimes they are a little dumb and inhale and forget to exhale for a lonnngg time(up to a month) then ylu have my echo who likes playing dead!

If you dont age your water you can introduce air bubbles in their tummy as well

well, I put Higari in a 3 gallons tank due to its size. I had my first one in a 10 gallon tanks and it was smaller than Higari. I did use water conditioner for the water and I do age the water too. I am not too sure, but when I received them, Higari and Yami already have their front and back legs. By some reason that Higari's left back leg looks like is not working that well. I think Higari was playing dead today and my sister was so scared lol but again, Higari was doing fine on eating and when I told it that I need to change its water, it swim to the net I was thinking to change the water once in 3 days but I do notice Higari does produce lots of waste so I decided to change it once in 2 days

In a 3gallon tank you can not cycle it for an axolotl. I recommend 100% daily water changes. From the pictures though it looks like he has an air bubble in his tummy. Seems like you are doing the right thing but putting him in a tub with shalllw water so he doesnt stress about not touching the bottom. How has this been going on? He should pass the bubble within about 24hours unless he constantly does it

Do you have a water testing kit? Check your water quality.. It may be possible that he is tryin to gulp air due to high ammonia or something. I told all the people who bought axies from me first thing you do is test the water immediately if you suspect a problem . If levels are high remove axolotl inmediately in clean water till you can stabalize the tank.

Just age dechlorinate and maybe try feeding your lotl more. I find food helped then pass gas.

I will say about couple weeks. when the water change on the first day, Higari will sink to the bottom. But yes, Higari is ALWAYS touching the water service when ever I see it=[ I guess that's really the water problem then. I do have the testing kit. I will try to feed Higari more but I am just worry I will over feed it=/
