Hey there,

I was looking to buy an axolotl and the breeder said the type was considered “Fire Princess” but I can’t find info of that being a real type? Or am I just not up to date? Lol.

Thanks for any help! Have a great day!

there is no axolotl phenotype under the name of "fire princess". there is a possibility that is the nickname given to the clutch of eggs. could you possibly send through photos of the axolotl? i will be able to properly identify its type. and determine if the "breeder" is ligit.

People make up their own types for axolotls. If it is something different and it breeds true their might be some legitimacy to the variety. My guess is that type is not considered a legitimate type of axolotl. Axolotl breeders are odd.
