I was going to feed my snake a mouse, but jokingly i figured id try to feed it to my tiger instead, since i hadnt gotten him to eat anything significant yet. he snatched it from me right away even though it was basically half the length of his torso. it took him a while but he eventually just got it it. then today i was watching him and he kind of burped some mucus out that basically looked kinda pukey. he then went for a walk around the tank, came back and started to open his mouth and push something out, then all of a sudden he regurgitated a half disgested mouse. it was just the intestines and some bones and stuff though, so im wondering whether this was indeed too big of a mouse (which i know it was) or if they naturally regurgitate all the bones and stuff because they cant **** it out? i appreciate anyones help with this little predicament.

If the food items was too large to be readily digested, it will putrify in the stomach. This may be the reason the tiger threw it up.

thanks, i figured it was becuase it was just too much digestive fluid. ill be buying some meal worms today, see if he likes those, get a couple pinkies too that he can have as a treat every once in while.

Wax/meal worms and pinkie mice are very fattening to salamanders, so use them as a treat and not an everyday food item! Main foods should be crickets/locusts/earthworms
My little tiger was fed on wax and meal worms before i got him and he's now on a permanent diet as he's a very overweight salamander!
