Ok Im worried... I just noticed on my gold baby that there are white spots it seems.

They were not there last night or yesterday when they got here.

Is it possible for this to happen so fast?

And how do you do a salt bath if it is fungus.

I checked my water and ammonia and nitrate are all 0

Guess I am a little paranoid being a first time mom and all.

if its a fungus then its going to be fluffy.. i just got two gold ones in too and they both have white spots and ive seen and heard of gold ones have white spots as markings and they are normal but if its fluffy and doesn't look like it belongs there then you should give a salt bath check out this thread

I dont notice any fluffy stuff, but my white one has them too. They do look like "markings" just surprised they would get them over night.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
