Question: Is this weird poo normal?

Hm, I'm not sure if this fits in the sickness-part, because maybe it's nothing to worry about.
But Xotl drops some weird poo.
It's not a solid dark oval thing like normally, but it's lightbrownish and little (slimy? I haven't touched it with my bare hands...) pieces.

What can it be. He's also a little thinner than he used to be? He has always been on sand and I always feed them worms, so I'm not sure it's the food.

Can someone please tell me if this is normal or something to worry about?
(And if it's something to worry about, what to do?)

Are you sure its not just old poop? If I don't get to my Axolotls leavings quickly, she tends to run into them and squish them so it isn't whole anymore. I've never seen her poop look slimy though, even when she breaks it down. Has the diet of the worms changed? Did you change the place where you got them at? It could just be a bad batch of worms. How many times has it happened, was it just today or has it been recurring? If it was just today I'd watch him pretty good over the next week.

Nope, when I saw it it pretty much came out of my axie like that, and I've seen this more often.
(But my other axie likes to run through her poo)

Try a little more calcium in the diet either a fresh water prawn or via supplements injected into food. This could help. Also do you have a worm farm or are they store bought?

I've seen this poo before. But I always thought it came from my axie who died this week. (It also came from her, but she was sick and she never really wanted to eat) but it's also from this axie I see.

Hmm, I've bought different worms this time but they didn't like them (very bad worms, and smelly) so I threw them on top of my neighbor's roof (lol) and then I bought the new worms at the place where I always buy them and they don't vomit now.

Hmm, I don't know where to find freshwater prawns around here, I've never seen them at my local pet store or so. What kind of supplements are out there and safe for axies?

Some pet stores especially ones that stock reptiles and other amphibians should have a various calcium sups.
If you have difficulty finding them you can also head to your local chemist and pick up calcium tablets with vitamins A and D that are lactose free. I have in the past ground to a fine powder then added water and injected the paste into a mealworm or cricket.

Calcium will help harden up their stools and some pellet food should help as well.

Is he not eating as much anymore? What other symptoms have you noticed? How long have these worry-some poos been comming?

Mine has poo like this and she is just fine.

These stools at times can just be from a upset digestive track or a deficiency in their diet. Most of the time it clears up with out assistance however if this repeats it's self the diet should be looked at if it is still occurring after that they have a problem in their gut and would require meds.

I guess the poo is like this at least a week. Other things. He's a little thinner than he used to be (or it's just my imagination). But he's still eating. Not vomiting anymore (he didn't like the new worms), so that's good. There aren't other things to worry about right now. I just miss a big piece of poo :')

It kind of looks like a bit of diarrhea to me... do axies get diarrhea? If it were a cat or dog I'd have more answers...
