My axolotls mouth has been like this for a week and nothing has changed and Im afraid that somethings happening to her from the inside and im only viewing whats wrong from the outside. The rest of my axolotls arent like this and they all swim in the same tank. All photos ive posted were taken 2 days apart from each other. Ive tried looking inside her mouth to see if anything was blocking her gills and I could only view the left side because shes so squirmy and nothing is there. Shes flapping her gills rapidly, seems like if its not every 5 seconds its every 1 second. Shes lethargic, stays in the same place all day. She does react to me touching her but its very delayed. She does eat normally, but shes not "going to the bathroom". I have put her in the fridge in a container for a day to see if anything would happen and nothing did. I need answers. Its killing me that ive done all that I can for now and nothing is helping her. Shes my first axolotl and I cant bare to lose her now. I dont have a vet near me. Is there something that I havent tried yet?
Ive given her tea baths, like i said I put her in the fridge, the tank waters cycle is perfect, ive checked in the inside of her mouth.
