I've had my tiger salamander for two years, sometimes he eats fine sometimes. I've switched him to a diet of nightcrawlers before he was on a diet of crickets and mealworms.

1. What else can i feed him, i've tried hornworms and phoenix worms. He ate the very active hornworms but he couldn't eat enough of the phoenix worms since they were just too small.

2. can someone explain to me if superworms are good for salamanders or not? i've heard of people feeding them to salamanders the pet shop employee kept reassuring me they were safe but i wasn't so sure so i didn't buy any.

1.Smaller roaches are a great snack for tiger salamanders.
2.The problem with superworms (mealworms) is that their shell is not digested very well, and so can cause impaction of their intestines. They're also very poor in nutrients.

Chopped earthworms and nightcrawlers are one of the best things you could feed
