I'm a relatively new axie owner and just this morning, noticed white fluffy growth on one of my axie's gills. The water parameters are in good shape after going through a lengthy cycling phase. I believe she may have partially damaged the area prior, that now looks to have the fungus. Note- I did see a single white growth on her cave a couple weeks ago but simply scraped it off, not knowing what it was (looking back- i shouldve treated the tank).
FF- Im leaving tomorrow afternoon (fri), returning sunday night. I dont want to ignore until i return but don't believe keeping her tubbed outside the tank is the best, due to my short absence. Good new is, she's the only creature in the tank (40gal breeder) and like i mentioned water tests well.
Problem- I have limited time to acquire any medications but was able to pick up salt and API Pimafix. Again, will be out of town over the weekend.
Im considering doing a partial water change in the tank (can't hurt) before i leave and then bathing her in either the salt or the pimafix. If I do, what should I dose it at (never bathed my axie) and how long? Also, since she's the only thing in the tank, wouldn't treating the tank be an option? I'm concerned taking her in and out a bunch will add to stress that i cannot monitor the signs, while im away. Could i add some salt and drop the temp in the tank?
Heres a pic for reference:
