I'm new to axies and while changing the filter a piece of fluval clear max filter media fell in the tank and before I got a chance to take it out he swooped down and ate it. This was last night I had him in another smaller tank till I could clean out the other, I've been on poop watch and seen nothing but regular poop should I be worried or should he pass it.

Looking at the link, it doesn't seem to be too big a piece. What are you feeding, earthworms, bloodworms or what ?

Sometimes if you can encourage them to eat a bit more, they will just pass it through their digestive systems normally. If your Axie stops eating or starts behaving strangely, you may need to fridge him/her for while to allow it to pass. Good luck, keep us posted ....

How old / what size is your Axie ?

Link does not work for me but i googled the filter media. The media does look big for a axolotl that is about 3 inches to ingest . If he/she is about 3 inches i would say it is 3-4 months old. I would feed it then fridge him so that was he throws up and hopefully the filter media comes along with it.
