Lack of care for blackworms

I'm going to be going out of town from Jan 28 to Feb 3 and was wondering how my blackworms will fare if left alone with no water changes for that many days. I have been doing full water changes every other day with aged refridgerated water, and the temps are about 42F in my fridge. Is there something I can do for them while I am gone? I hesitate to ask my sister because she is pretty squeemish about things like worms and it would be a long drive for her, but if I have no other choice than ask her I will. Any suggestions or ideas will be very much appreciated,
Heather

If you have a significant amount of blackworms (which is a $$ investment, I know), then you do need to have them rinsed while you are away. I would suggest finding a non-squeemish neighbor (a nice kid in the neighborhood, perhaps?) to come do it.

If you don't have a large amount of worms, I'd say just feed them to the newts and buy new ones when you return.

Thanks for the response, guess I need to start asking some of the kids in the neighborhood - maybe some of the boys will think its the gross kind of cool.
