The pet shop were I work sells frozen lancefish. Would this be safe to feed to my axolotls? And does it contain and nutritional value for them at all?

Welcome Rebecca - I was hoping someone would comment on your lance fish. I have no experience with them. In fact I had to look up what they are.
Are you having a problem finding something to feed your axolotl or were you just wondering (as I am now) about the frozen lance fish?

If they are fed on occasion then they should be okay for use. The real problem frozen fish has is thiaminase which can result in thiamine deficency in the axolotls if it is fed frequently.

Cynthia - I was just wandering about them as I normally feed my axolotls on bloodworm, brineshrimp and sinking trout pellets. Which they all love.

I havn't tried feeding night crawlers yet but I was thinking of trying them soon. I have a feeling that they'd love them. I'll let you know what they make of the lancefish if I decide to get some for them.
