Hello, my name is Sara.
I'm LOVING this forum. Seriously, there are so many intelligent resources to pull from, so hats off to the creator.
I don't have my newts yet. I have their tank set up and can't WAIT to get pictures up for everyone to see. I think I'm doing pretty good. I'm in a gathering stage so to speak. I got my tank, my substrate, my filter, my siphon, my thermometer, my test kits, my light, my screen top... the list goes one. I'm looking for java moss at the moment, java fern as well. I've got my tank cycling, it's been about a week, now all I need is to find a breeder to buy from. I was alright with going to my local pet shop, but I couldn't get a straight answer as to were he got his newts and I'm just NOT ok with supporting the harvest of wild newts. I DID by some whisker shrimp, they're in there right now, creating bacterias and eating blood worms and helping my tiny eco system florish.
I'm hoping for some sweet Chinese Fire Belly Newts.
I guess my only question at this time, will the wisker shrimp be snipping at the news, I didn't get crabs for this reason. I don't want any gang wars in my underwater world.
