Leg injury..help!

Hi all. So, my boy got into a fight with a tank mate. I have separated him and he is in a tub with cool clean water. All injuries healed but we have a dead leg. I was hoping it would drop off smoothly and regenerate. So far all the skin has pretty much come away just leaving bone. I've attached some before and after photos. Should this be a vet trip or will it eventually fall off and heal itself?

Any constructive advice welcome!
