Greetings, I was hoping to purchase some waterdogs from an online bait shop to turn into salamanders. My biggest concern is legality. Do I need permits to do this? Tigers are native to Texas, but I won't be collecting them so I don't think I'd need a hunting license. From what I can find, you can collect them with a hunting license and keep up to 25 without a nongame permit, but I'm still concerned. I don't want to do anything illegal. I'm also worried that it may be different because I'm buying them from an online bait shop that I can only guess is out of state, so they'd be crossing state lines. Here are some links I found that may help.

Also, if anyone has tips on raising them, I'm interested. I've been scowering this website for the last few days in preparation, but links and advice are always helpful.
Thanks
