Length of gravid period

Typically, after you notice a noto seems gravid... how long before she would start laying eggs? How long does the whole process usually take?
 
That's really an impossible question. It could be hours, it could be years.
 
Okay, so you are saying that they can stay gravid and "pregnant" with eggs for an given amount of time until they feel like laying them? I wouldn't have posted, but I just could find any information about it through researching it...
 
They can remain gravid for years, but I've typically only seen them lay eggs from the late January to late May time of the year.
 
Rereading my answer, I didn't mean to be so blunt, it's a valid question. Yes, they can remain gravid until they feel like laying them (until Mr Right arrives and/or the right set of conditions occur). I'm not sure if they could remain gravid with the same set of eggs for a year - they might re-absorb them and develop a new set of eggs the next breeding season.
