Is it common that light wild larvae are weaker than darker ones? because some larvae hatched 2 weeks ago were more milky than others (common wild type), 4 out of 5 died, and all the darker ones survived and are getting bigger.
now i am having the bigger batch hatching (more than 300 eggs), and some of them are milky type, i'll see what happens.

I haven't heard that that is the case in general, but perhaps it is specific to the genetics of the parents? Please let us know of the outcome of the next batch.

When I had babies hatch I noticed that the ones that died off turned a very milky colour then within the next couple of days they died. It may just be what happens before they die off as the ones who didnt turn pale survived
