Little creature found in tank.

While cleaning out my tank today, I found a little insect and I have no idea what it is or where it came from. I haven't added plants in recently, so unless it's got a really long gestation, I'm guessing some bug laid it in there recently.

It's white, and looks vaguely like an overgrown mosquito larva, except with 6 legs and a sort of grasshopper looking head. Just under 1cm in length.

Anyone have any idea what this is and if it's harmful to my axies?

Your axie will eat it given half a chance. To them it will be no different than brine shrimp....lol. It's day are numbered whatever it is.

I know what you are talking about but i forget what they are. They live in the mud in my lake. I usto keep them as pets when i was very little.

it was a larva of some insect or another. i put it in a glass on my desk and a few hours later it was gone - mutated i assume.
