Liver-lovin' crows causing toads to pop?

Somehow I don't think they're on the right track with the crows. lol I think it may just be a problem they haven't identified yet. A reaction to a chemical or parasite or bacteria. They so badly want to be able to make the crows out to be the bad guys so they can laugh and say it's like the movie "THe Birds".
 
I have the same problem with crows and magpies in my garden. It's the crows.
