?Lizard? identification

I have seen a very odd lizard lately, it got in my house and I was able to capture it and return it outside. Now I have seen possibly another of the same species, it could be the same one but it looks smaller. It is pink! It is a very pale pink almost white color and you can kind of see it's organs through it's skin. It has 2 bumpy looking things on either side of it's head that are white and is about 4 1/2 to 5 inches long. Does anyone know what this is? The strange part is the fact that it is on the underside of my awning and it is so late, I thought lizards were daytime creatures. I have lots of lizards around my place, usually just the normal anoles. I have never seen anything like this guy. I took a picture but I don't think it will do much good because as I said, it is dark out.

Thanks for any info you can give!!

I can tell you it is a lizard (reptile). This website is directed toward newts and salamanders (amphibians), so in some sense you are in the wrong place. But who knows, you might luck out and somebody happens to know what it is. As general advice, I would recommend asking at some local wildlife center, or consulting a field guide (at any library or book store). It is a strangely transparent animal.

More specifically it is a gecko of some type. They are more than likely exotics. They sure don't look anything like Petersons has. You would have much better luck asking on a lizard or gecko site.

I don't know for sure what it is but to me it looks a lot like a leucistic madagascan day gecko

Hello Lisa
The lizard is a gecko call the Indo Pacific Gecko ( Hemidactylus garnoti ). They are very common where I live too!

This is a repeat post from above. Alberto's identification is correct.
