Looking for guidance with Axolotls

Hello folks! Rookie Axolotl keeper from Eastern Canada! Looking for veteran advice and fun facts! . Specifically, some clarification on the sand vs rocks debate!
I'm new to forums/threads/posts, etc. So if any of you have any advice on navigating this type of a site or on appropriate etiquette, id really appreciate your help in all aspects!!

Do a search on Axolotl and rocks or substrate or both and you will find a LOT of information. SHort version: if the rocks can fit in their mouth, they will eventually swallow some and that can be lethal. Sand or no substrate is best.
