Losing gills.

My axolotls used to have very fluffy gills
but recently they've lost it.
I have checked the parameters and they are all good.

Can you post all the water test results? Are you using a liquid test kit? Are there any other possible sources of stress in the tank, like high water temps, etc?
All axies are a bit different with gill length and fullness.

I was using the liquid tester.
I can't give exact number anymore I did complete water change thinking maybe poison in the water (eg. Aerosol)

But when I tested it water parameters were at the first- 2nd level. PH was really high at 7.6, but ut has always been high and they have been healthy looking till recently.
I hope the complete water change will do it.

I do understand that fluffiness of gills are different from every axies but mine has always been fluffy.

Try putting a fan over the tank blowing over the water, that can help keep the temp down. I'm not sure if it would be the temp but it is a bit high.

Im a novice but I would say temperature is the problem. what's the normal temp rang over long term? I try to keep 70 as the high and normal temp 69-70degrees depending on if I've kept up on the ice bottle cgang out

also here's a picture of them 3 months ago with some nice feathery gills. and they even got more fluffy than the picture too.
now they are all so tiny
(Don't worry about the small tank, they were only on the 10 gallon aquarium cos i wanted to get them a nice picture together. they are all in a much bigger aquarium) heheh just getting ahead before people say i was mean to put them in one small aquarium

What an absolutely adorable picture! I see what you mean about the gill stalks. I think that the temp is too high, considering that their top tolerable temp is 70, with temps around 75/75+ being very stressful for them. Definitely try the fans.
I would try adding an airstone too. Test the water at least several times a week. Let us all know if anything works.
