Rosie is hanging out in a small tub while I wait for her permanent home to cycle. I may post some questions about the cycling process sometime soon, too, since that seems to be taking FOREVER, but here's a question that came to me earlier today.

When her 29 gal. tank is cycled and ready, what's the best way to add the low dose salt? Do I have to fully dissolve it in each 5 gal. pail of partial water change water? Can I add the equivalent amount of salt directly to the tank and expect it to dissolve and distribute through the ordinary pump/filter process? Any concern about whether the salinity will go up as the water evaporates?

Thanks again.

UPDATE: The tank has finally cycled. As soon as Rosie's possible constipation/floating issue resolves (see separate post), she'll be ready for the big tank.

@Calgarycoppers gave me the earlier advice about low dose salt for her temporary tub to cure fungus. Any thoughts about how best to add water to the big tank? (See above.)
