Something interesting. We had a batch of babies back in March which are now 6mths old and going great. However we left 6 in the outside pond whilst we went to the UK. It was our winter and when we got back no sign of anything. In the spring one turned up still tiny (no food hardly) and had been livimg under at times a fair bit of ice. Wow. Pic attached.
