Lumbricus are surely the perfect prime rib on matter of caudate food. But those are rarely seen were i live now. Available are the Ensenia foetida. I´m about to create a culture of these but luckly I am going to receive a small number of Lumbricus terrestris but really few adults (nearly 20 if so) and e. foetida receiving around 600. So my question is if i could successfully put these two species of worms in same container with 60x35x25cm with no damage to the growt of both species? Culture will be indoors and I am lacking space right now :C cheers.

Lumbricus terrestris are next to impossible to culture. They're not compost worms and do not thrive or breed in compost bins. The ones purchased in shops in my experience are always collected. They live in deep burrows and breed slowly in cool temperatures. You can keep them alive in the fridge but the fecundity is so low a culture is pointless for the effort you'd need to put in.

I have to agree with Mark. Lumbricus are just not viable for home culture. When the seasons permit, I collect my own. In the spring I use the "flood" method. Later in the year I use electricity. Sadly, for most of the year here, sub-freezing temperatures force me to purchase them from the local bait shop.
