I have a 6 month old black or wild type axolotl and i am giving him worms as his main diet. over the last 3 or 4 days he has got a big lump behind his back legs is this normal as they mature or is he sick

Could you maybe take a photo and show us ? It is possible it is male and what you are seeing is his cloaca. If you could add a photo we can confirm if this is the case

It's more than likely that he is just maturing and his cloaca has grown. I agree, post up a picture of him.
