Two of my females are looking rather round and fat are they pregnant or just fat?

Can you post a pic? Also, how old are they?

If they're at least 6 months or older, and if their belly just looks rounder than normal and not their heads, legs and other body parts, I pretty much think that they're carrying eggs inside. Females do have that typical round belly.

But if you want to be sure it's better to post a picture just in case it's bloat or just some fat axies

This is the best I can get. You can kinda see in the underside that the stomach looks a bit bigger then normal. It's been this way for maybe a week

My guess is its going to be full of stones!!!!!!!!

Those stones are so dangerous & can be easily swallowed - get the stones all out immediately & leave the tank bare bottomed please do this now! Then you'll be able to see if your poor lotl can regurgitate or pass them. I'd also read the sticky about fridging your lotl & be prepared to do it if things don't improve.

Please remove that gravel!

Then we can see how bad things are

I would agree, those stones look like they could be easily swallowed.

I would try and remove them ASAP then leave your tank bare bottomed for a good couple of weeks and see if your Axies pass anything.

If you can get an over head shot and/or a belly shot that may help with the question of gravid versus chubby, it i difficult to tell from the current angle although they don't look especially chunky from what I can see.

Still seeing your axolotl on that gravel makes me cringe

To be honest the colour in the stomach looks the same as that awful blue green gravel it is beyond unlikely that you'd see any sign of a tail bite as the acid in the gut would dissolve it pretty quickly.

Please get the gravel out - you may not have to fridge as your axolotl may be able to regurgitate them or pass them! If you remove it you'll soon see if any appears which has come from inside your axolotl

That does look like it could be gravel I'm afraid
