Illness/Sickness: Lumps on our Rosie

Rosie developed lumps while we were away for a week and my brother was feeding her. He followed our instructions but the tank was left hot. We have cooled the water and fixed the chemical balance. She is a lone, 3 year old axolotl in a 55 gallon tank. She has always been really well. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Could you try reposting the pictures & using the best image resolution - currently the pics are tiny & hard to enlarge enough to see lumps.

What is the current water temp & the parameters? Also did you test the water before you fixed it up - if you did post up those readings too

Hopefully one of the experts on here will be able to identify what the lumps are.

Here are my water readings
KH is 120
PH is 7.0
NO2 is 0
NO3 is 20

Water temp is 19 degrees using cooling bottles.

Those pics didn't seem to load.

Your tank temp is good now - how often do you change the bottles? If you rotate before they melt completely it saves the temperature fluctuating - how high did it get & for how long was it high?

This heat wave we're in the middle of makes it hard to keep tanks cool... It's mid 30's today & my house is like a fridge with aircon on 20 (I have socks on!) my tank temp is currently 21 & that's with lights off & a fan on over the tank 24hrs

I've been rotating before they are completely melted. The tank became hot last week but I am not sure how hot (my brother was not big on the details). I live in a warehouse where the temp does not fluctuate too much with the outside temp but it does get a little hotter in this heat.

Poor axie - hopefully someone here can identify what those are.

Is the rest if the axies behaviour normal - nothing out of the ordinary... Floating / Eating / Activity Levels etc

Yes, after I got the tank temp down, she ate and is happily cruising around as usual. Her gills are bright and everything else looks normal.

That definitely is a result of poor water quality whether it ammonia or heat. Don't stress they're resilient little things and she should be good again soon.

Thanks for your support. Over the last couple of hours, almost all of the lumps have miraculously disappeared. Very strange.
