So i'm buying a terrarium for a frog eyed gecko and I was wondering if I can make a pond in the back for some type of aquatic frog or newt would this be ok to keep a frog eyed gecko and an aquatic newt in the same cage? would I have to put a fence around the pond?

I would not suggest mixing geckos and newts. It is always better to be safe. Newts and geckos require different conditions and live in completely different habitats! Frog-eyed geckos like it warm and dry; newts like it cool and wet. The gecko could drown in the water and the newt could dry out if it tries to come out of the water.

If you want a newt, just use a separate tank. Good luck
