Hi All

I'm searching and searching for a starter culture of microworms. All I can find is information on how to maintain the cultures.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I assume you know that microworms are really tiny, only suitable for the smallest larvae. You can get them at www.aquabid.com. OOps, I just saw your profile, you are in England, that might not work. Any ideas, UK folks?

Jennifer, I went to that link to see what they had and saw a lot of adds for grindal worms. I 'm not familiar with this worm, is this good food for newts?
thx

Nutritionally, they are good. But how useful depends on the size of the newt you are feeding. The requirements for growing grindle worms and whiteworms are similar. Grindle worms are smaller and need warmer conditions. They would be good for larvae or small terrestrial newts.

In England, microworm cultures, along with whiteworm cultures can be bought from
www.aquaculturesupplies.co.uk

Unfortunately grindals are harder to come by, but are an excellent food when raising newt larvae if you can get hold of them.

Thanks All

Just gotta dig my cheque book out and they're mine!

Cheers
