i was talking to a guy today that used to breed albino clawed frogs. It was suggested to him that the tadpoles could be fed on cows milk added to the water!! he decided to try it and it worked, all the young thrived. he added about 1 1/2 mls of milk to each tank every day, I dont know how many were in each tank but it worked well, has anyone else tried this with or without success?

Amazing, i wouldn't have thought it possible! When mine bred once i used liquidised mushy peas, real interesting to rear!

Xenopus tadpoles are suspension feeders, they feed on particles suspended in the water. Althought I have not heard of feeding the tadpoles milk I guess it would be possible but it would turn the water very quickly so close attention should be paid to water quality.

that is soo amazing i have to try that, im trying to breed my frogs so thanks for the idea
