Hello everyone! this is kinda late since I've been a member for a few days. I'm Mistymeadow3 and i joined cause i went to a reptile show and came home with a 5 inch leucistic axolotl. Right now he's in a three gallon (please don't kill me) and he's going in a 30 gallon as soon my dad can get it set up. we were attacked by colds and it hasn't happened yet. (i got him a week ago) BTWS he's on SAND now not gravel.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
