In February I got a mole salamander (ambystoma talpoideum I believe) the first week he didnt eat as expected then once he ate an earth worm and then didn't eat for maybe another month then he very readily and regularly ate meal worms for two more months and then slowed down and now it's been two weeks since he has eaten. Why does he so choosingly eat all of my other pets eat worms just fine but refused mealworms what should I do to entice him to go back to he earth worm.

Any information I have is that he is small maybe four inches max he is In a five gallon plastic tub and I bought him at a pet store

Thanks in advance-

They have similar care to the Tiger salamander, so here's the care-sheet if you haven't found it: Caudata Culture Species Entry - Tiger salamander Aside from that, they are a very skittish species, not really coming up to the surface on their own free will. The other link provided is also helpful, as you may have to try to get him eating different foods then switch over to night-crawlers. I know several people on here who keep them, so if you need any more help, just ask around I'm sure you'll find the information you're looking for
