Moss?

Note that most plants bought from plant stores or home improvement stores are treated with various chemicals. If these are free from pesticides, they are fine. But whether the moss will survive in a setup is another question.

I've used both kinds of moss for some of my terreriums but note that it might introduce springtails and other small micro organisms into your tank. It had introduced springtails to a few of mine.
yeah i got them in the park but the top one is kinda turning brown in spots (iv'e got them in a i gallon "fish tank") i prob. wont put them in if they could introduce things into the tank im not sure what springtails are but they sound unattractive 
my frogs also had something crawling around in the coconut fiber section of the tank(springtails?)they where tiny little white things i cleaned out the tank and didnt put any coconut fiber back in just their plants leaning up on some gutter guard and i cut a cup in half so that they can get on top of the two halves out of the water or under it to hide they didn't like it for the first couple days or so but now i think they might even like it better i haven't really had a chance to see if i got rid of the bugs with the water set up but all the frogs are still looking healthy (too healthy no more wax worms for a while ) if the bugs are still there is there anything i can put in there to kill them that wont harm the frogs? any way thanks guys

I would think, my newts love them. If you're seriously worried about bugs you can try treating your plants with c02, just make sure none of your frogs are in them.
Buy some dry ice, place it in cups tilted at an angle on the top of your tank, and let it (c02) drop into your tank; the c02 will buildup and kill almost any organisms in the tank, and give your plants a boost. Just make sure your frogs aren't in it.

well we might not be talking about the same kind of bug then because these were to small for my frogs to even see much less eat ( they seemed to have trouble getting the rolly pollys if they weren't moving around.)... and yes i am worried about bugs when i have to put my hands in there theres a big difference between a bigger wax worm or regular worm that you know when you put it down its gone but with tiny little bugs they could be all over your arm after you've messed with the tank :uhoh: ...all over you :uhoh: ...crawling on the floor :uhoh: ...in the bed :uhoh: you get my drift i might just try the dry ice thing thanks
