Hi I have a female alpine newt. I have moved and set up a new tank. My newt stayed with a friend back home but I am hoping to move her to my new place in the next week or so. It is a 4 hours journey by train + tube. What would be the best way to transport her without causing much stress? Really appreciate any insight. x Anna

From my (limited) experience I think something simple like a clean plastic container (with air holes) with some damp moss is fine. If it's hot where you are I have put a container in a soft insulated lunch/food bag with a cool pack. Since you just need to keep it cool and not cold I put paper towels in between the container and the cold pack. As long as the bag doesn't overheat and the moss doesn't dry out, which neither should in 4 hours, I think this should work.
