My 2 1/2 - 3 inch axie Lotto is floating?

my little axie is floating around at the top of the water. has been doing it for a few hours, it also puked up the food i feed it yesterday and would not eat today. i read about cooling the water and did that. its still floating. what should i do?

maybe hes bloated(full of air) just gently massage the sides of his body till a air bubble comes out his mouth. then he should sink again.

Jim, try sticking your axolotl in the fridge for a little bit. Put it in a food safe container with enough water to cover it, and leave him there in the quiet for a couple hours. It should stop floating. The vomiting of bolus is probably due to warm water or overfeeding. Try feeding less at a time.

I don't agree with the massaging of axolotls until they spit out air. They'll do it on their own if that's what's keeping them afloat. Usually it's air in the other end that is the problem.

Thank you all for your help, but little Lotto died last night. I'm devastaded. but at least Oxy, whos in the same tank is doing just fine. I plan on trying to locate another axie from a diffrent pet store cause im getting not to trust the pet store i got these 2 from. Thanks again for your help.
