Hello,

I need some help and advice. I have an albino axo named Bubbles. She is about 6 months old and has always had great health. I feed her everyday but i missed a day yesterday. This morning when i went to feed her I noticed that her pink colour faded away and her tentacles are white instead of pink. Other then the colour she seemed fine. She ate all her food (frozen blood worms) and was happy.

I walked out of the room for maybe 15 and when i came back for the first time I noticed that she threw up her food in a corner of her tank. This has never happened before.

I am really worried about my girl and wanted to know if there is anything I can do to make her feel better again. Please help me:(

This is a picture of her right now. She also started twitching. Please Please help. I dont want her to die!!!

How big is your tank? What is your water change schedule like? Do you test your water parameters? The pH and hardness of your water may be relevant here.

Does the pink color come back when she's active (such as eating)? It's not unusual for them to be a little pale when they're resting, but those do look quite pale.

My tank is a 30 gallon tank. Its just her and 6 small plattie fish in there We just cleaned her tank on wed and checked the water levels on thursday and everything was fine. I just noticed this today. Normally she would get a little pale when sleeping but when i fed her she would get bright red again which didnt happen today. She just stayed pale.

The only thing different this week that we did was change her home. We gave her a new cave because the old was was too small for her.

What water parameters do you test for? What's the temperature of your tank?

My boyfriend is the on who always tests the water and i know he tests for everything from ph to nitrate, nitrate, He uses his liquid test kit for it. he didnt tell me the levels unfortunately but he said they were normal. Im sorry i dont have the right numbers for this. My water temperature is at 66F which is the usual for my tank.
