Hi everyone. I have two axies and neither of them seem to be growing. There happy enough a. X eat fine but just don't seem to be getting any bigger. They eat a small earthworm each everyday and sometimes one more at night if there scrounging at the front of the tank.
Any ideas why this is happening? What can I do to help? Thanks

With questions like this, it often helps others to answer if we know a few more details :)

How old are they?
How long are they?
How long have you had them?
Where did you get them from?

What are your water quality parameters?
(aka Ammonia/Nitrite/Nitrate levels etc)

What is your Water Temperature?

I personally think they look fine for being six months old. :)

It takes three to five years for an axolotl to reach adult size. Truth is in my experience they never stop growing, they just slow down a bit.

Less panic is your friend! As Jake says, do not love your pets to death...just be patient.

Teehee you sound like me.... I Couldnt find lil dude and he was hiding behind the filter. I thought he was stuck so moved him out and he kind of floated about and didnt move. Cue the tears, i thought he had died. I went to pick him up to look closer to see what i'd done wrong thinking he'd got trapped and drowned (no i didnt think about it, he has gills...) turns out he was asleep/resting.. Not sure who jumped more me or him... x x x
