I am sorry to hear he is deteriorating . Sorry I cannot be of much more help. I think he may be beyond what home remedies can do but you could add some Indian almond leaves to his water. They have some mild antibacterial and antifungal properties. It couldn't hurt at any rate. More experienced members may be able to advise other things you could try though.
